Please see the below updates on the Irwin Park Amenity Center:
Fitness room: Open – 6AM-10PM
Existing Irwin pool: Open – Dawn to Dusk. Additional renovations are approved (bathroom doors, bathroom stalls and pergola), and will be ongoing.
Basketball Court - Open – Dawn to 10 PM.
Tennis Court – Open – Replacement net has been ordered, and new shade awning for court has been approved pending vendor installation schedule.
Clubhouse Gathering Room – HOA and CDD Meetings only - starting this month (September).
*Gathering Room rentals will resume when the kitchen replacement is complete. (Funds approved- contract signed- completion pending contractor schedules) watch for further updates for rentals to resume. If you are planning a rental, please contact the Clubhouse Manager, Matthew Reed at Clubhouse@CovingtonparkCDD.org to get updates when rentals may resume.
Specific to the remaining ongoing Amenity Construction Area projects: The CDD must comply with all required State and County building inspections, Life Safety inspections, Health inspections, Insurance requirements; and ensure all amenity areas are secure and safe for our residents prior to opening.
Playground – Closed - Surface and play structures complete. Fence around playground in process. Due to safety requirements the playground will remain closed until construction is completed and required inspections are complete.
Currently, project completion are awaiting a required TECO inspection and energizing the new power connection for the splash pad, new pool and pavilion bathroom finish work and Irwin Park lighting.
Splash Pad – Closed - structure is complete – Requires power connection (See TECO inspection above). Splash pad requires all mandatory inspections prior to opening.
New Pool and Bathroom Pavilion – Closed - requires power connection (See TECO inspection above) to complete all finish work on the new pool and pavilion bathrooms. New Pool and Pavilion require mandatory inspections prior to opening.
Dog Parks – Closed - Are pending sub-contractor installation of fence.
Irwin Park lighting – Requires power connection (see TECO inspection above).
The CDD Board of Supervisors is working closely with the Project Contractor, utilizing all resources to safely expedite the completion of remaining amenities and open all of Irwin Park.
